Valdez came to us after his previous home wasn’t the best fit for him. Since then, he’s been quietly showing us what a truly devoted companion he can be. This well-behaved, gentle boy is a bit shy and submissive at first, but underneath that timid exterior is a cat who absolutely loves affection. He adores being near his people, soaking up pets and getting brushed — one of his favorite ways to bond. Once he feels safe, his sweet and loyal personality really shines through.

Valdez is low-maintenance and independent, but he requires a patient and understanding home that can continue building his confidence. He would do best in a quieter home as the only pet and with older, respectful children, if any. With continued reassurance and stability, we know he will blossom into an incredibly devoted and loving best friend.
