The keys to Valdez’s heart? Food and love.
Valdez is a gentle, shy boy who came to us after his previous home wasn’t the right fit, and he’s now looking for a calm, patient environment where he can grow in confidence at his own pace. He may be reserved at first, but once he feels safe, he warms up beautifully and enjoys affection, often choosing to stay close to his people for quiet companionship. His favorite way to bond is through brushing, which he absolutely loves, and he’s also very food motivated — especially when Churu treats are involved. Valdez is low-maintenance and independent overall, but he’ll thrive best as the only pet in a quiet home, ideally with older, respectful children or adults who understand his need for a slower, gentle approach to building trust.
