Meet Matilda!

Matilda came to us from the Humane Society of Waupaca after her previous owners could no longer care for her, and she’s been quietly mastering the art of “mysterious background cat” ever since. She’s a shy little lady at first, often perfecting her camouflage skills like a tiny feline ninja, but once she feels safe, her personality starts to peek through in the sweetest ways. That’s when you might catch her casually exploring her surroundings or dramatically rolling around in catnip like she’s auditioning for a very relaxed nature documentary.

Matilda gets along well with other cats, and while dogs are still an unknown, she may do fine with a calm, respectful one. She’ll thrive best in a quieter home with older, considerate children who understand that the best friendships with shy cats are earned, not rushed—and once she chooses you, it’s well worth the wait.
