Adoption Process

Get started by checking our online listing of adoptable cats. If you find a cat you wish to adopt, fill out an adoption application. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll contact you to set up a consultation to ensure that you and the cat you’ve selected are a good match. During this process we'll also review the cat’s medical and behavioral records, and explain the policies and services available to you.

 

Adoption Fees

Almost Home Cat Rescue MKE is a private, non-profit organization that relies almost entirely on private donations and its own fundraising abilities to operate. The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home.

 

  • Fees

    • $175 for Kittens

    • $125 for Cats aged 6 months-4 years

    • $50 for Cats aged 5+ years

    • Receive a 20% discount when you adopt 2 or more cats/kittens. Discount will be applied to the second cat adopted.

  • Included in the adoption fee

    • Spay or neuter surgery

    • Medical examination

    • Age-appropriate vaccinations

    • Flea treatment

    • Microchip and registration fee

    • Feline Leukemia/FIV test
