Jake was transferred to us from our partner Feline Canine Friends after being rescued from a hoarding situation. He can be shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience his playful and affectionate personality truly shines. Once comfortable, Jake loves chasing toy mice, showing off his impressive wand catching skills, and soaking up all the pets he can get — especially his favorite butt scratches

Jake would do well in a home with other cats and may also do well with a calm dog given a slow and proper introduction. He would be best suited for a home with older, respectful children who understand giving him time to settle in. Jake does have an occasional weepy eye that requires drops as needed, along with a daily supplement to help prevent flare-ups — and he handles his care like a champ. With the right home, Jake will make a loving and rewarding companion
